Story
After a tough year, we are super excited to announce that Michael Jacob’s our Club Captain, is embarking on the Longest Day Golf Challenge playing 72-Holes in one day to raise money for his Charity, MacMillan Cancer Support alongside the Director of Golf, Stuart Collier, Head of Instruction, Chris Murtagh and 9 other fellow members on Monday, 28th June 2021 at Stoke Park.
Here is Michael’s statement: “Thank you for taking the time to read this. The reason why I have chosen Macmillan nurses for my charity is mainly due to my Step Mum, who sadly lost her battle against cancer at the end of last year (November 2020). She had been fighting cancer for more than a few years and did really well, but unfortunately, it got her at the young age of 69 last November. Macmillan really helped her and my Dad and with this in mind, it’s why I have chosen them as my charity. Added to this I have many friends at the golf club and further afield who have personally had first dealings with Macmillan and their feedback has been the same as mine, which is just one more reason why I wish to raise as much money as we can for this charity. Thanks to everyone for supporting”.
Please also note all funds raised will be used to support Macmillan services in Buckinghamshire.
