What is ‘Firewalking’?
Firewalking refers to the activity of walking on hot embers bare foot without getting burnt. It is an inspirational and barrier-breaking experience for all concerned!
In simple terms, sponsored individuals, after a motivational training session, walk across 20 feet of wood embers burning at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit without experiencing any pain or injury!
The Carers’ Resource is a local charity which gives emotional and practical support and information to unpaid carers. Carers are men and women of all ages; they are mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters and sometimes friends and neighbours. They can be caring for many years and are often under considerable strain. The person they care for can have a physical or mental illness, a disability or a drug or alcohol issue. Every family is different and every caring situation is different, the Carers’ Resource is here to help carers cope whatever their situation.
In our 15 year history we have supported over 12,000 unpaid, local carers and received national recognition for our work. We have offices in Skipton, Harrogate, Ripon and Bradford.
Thank you for your support.
