Story
About 6 months ago I decided it would be a
great idea to run a half marathon.
In that moment of madness my general lack of sporting prowess and all those
painful memories of cross-country runs at school seemed to desert me. So here I
am with a few weeks to go, huffing and puffing on my 5 mile runs around Morley
with the prospect of having to add an extra 8 to that very soon. I'm going to
be in a bad, bad way.
I'm going to be running the Run to the Beat half marathon in Greenwich on the
26th September.
I'm running in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis society. MS affects over 100,000
people in the UK, and is an illness for which there is a real lack of awareness
and knowledge (did you know that people diagnosed with MS are normally aged
between 20 and 40?). The Society helps by carrying out a huge volume of
research. and providing respite care and financial help to MS sufferers all
over the UK.
This genuinely is a massive challenge, and for a fantastic cause, so please
give generously! Thanks for your support.
