In May  2015 we received the best news after 5yrs of trying for another child after already having our son George 6 that our family was about to grow  and we were in fact expecting Baby number 2 

Sadly 5 months into our pregnancy at our 20wk scan we received the most devastating news any parent does not wish to receive our beautiful baby was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and due to the severity of the condition and the extensive damage to the brain sadly our baby would not be compatible with life outside the womb

Knowing what the future would lead to for our longed for blessing we made the heart breaking decision to welcome our baby onto the world earlier than planned

Our beautiful daughter Darcie was born breathing  4days later at 20+4 wks into our pregnancy weighing a tiny 322g the length of our hand but perfect in every way  

Sadly Darcie passed away  2 hours after birth this you can imagine left us all heartbroken but gave us inner strength to learn understand and raise awareness of this devastating birth Defect 

 Although we had heard of  SPINA BIFIDA  and was aware of how poorly she became because of it .We ,friends and family never really understood the condition until like most people we were affected by it so in Darcie's memory we are raising awareness and donations to help support other families like us  affected are greatly appreciated
