The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

From September 14-20th this year I will be taking part in the Ring of Kerry bike Challenge as the stoker for a tandem team with David Bingham as the tandem pilot. The ride is about 250 miles around the Ring of Kerry in southern Ireland, and featuring a couple of high passes to just make things a bit more difficult.

To give you some ideas of what donations can do, here are some figures:

£1.30 Feeds a puppy for one day,

£10 supports a working guide dog for one day,

£60 Buys a harness, handle, lead, collar and bell,

£1000 co-sponsors a guide puppy,

and £2500 co-sponsors a guide dog.

So even if you can only make a small donation it still can make a difference, but, I hope you will be generous.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Guide Dogs will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you, just make sure that you select the gift aid option if it applies to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
