What is the New Ship Appeal for?
Since 1971 the Sea Cadets’ flagship TS Royalist has been taking cadets out to sea where they can experience the most exhilarating – and unique challenges. Whether it’s hoisting the sails in stormy weather or navigating big waves, nothing compares to the feeling of being out at sea, right there in the elements, taking on challenging nautical training and pulling together with other cadets to safely navigate Britain’s coastline. This is teamwork taken to another level.
Sea Cadets is fundraising for a new flagship. Across the country we are asking all 400 Sea Cadet units to get on board with this massive appeal to raise 250,000 to help toward the cost of a new ship.
My original aim was to raise £2,500 but this has now been extended to £10,000 (including gift aid) and I would like your help / kind donations. Why not donate to a charity or you can order a Bellrope Keyring (which I hand make) by donating onto my just giving page and requesting a keyring (and emailing me at gowelsh@btinternet.com), Minimum donation for the keyrings is £10.00.
So please dig deep and donate. I look forward to receiving your donations.
Thank you for your support.
