Sparkle ensures Gwent children with complex needs, along with their families, are fully supported & able to participate in valued childhood experiences, with access to the same range of opportunities, life experiences, activities & community services as any other child & their family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I am hoping to raise money for the Sparkle Appeal, check out the blurb below...

The Sparkle Appeal is a local charity that is aiming to raise £1.5 million to equip a purpose built centre that will be a hub and spoke facility helping the 1200 children with complex disabilities in the South Gwent area to have treatment, care, information, leisure facilities and consultations all under one roof rather than having to travel to diverse centres across both South Wales and London.  This will bring ease to the family unit and continuity of care to the children.

This should be a little bit more exciting than the usual marathon/triathlon type thing I normally do.  This time it is a White Collar Boxing Fight Night on 23/01/2009.  I will be fighting over 4 * 2 minute rounds and, if you are kind enough to sponsor me, feel free to give me a target such as 'First Round victory' or 'Winning by KTFO'.  I don't know who I'll be fighting yet, once I do I'll update the page and give myself honest odds on whether I think I'm going to win.

The main thing is to raise money for the Sparkle Appeal though so if I raise a decent amount of money but lose the bout then I'll be happy with that...[umm]...okay we both know that's not true.  If I lose then I'll be inconsolable but please sponsor me anyway.

Thank You
