We work with street children in Kolkata to make a positive change to their lives.

Story

The HOPE Foundation’s vision is of a world where it should never hurt to be a child – thank you for helping to make this vision a reality.Since 1999, HOPE has been working tirelessly to provide a lasting positive change to the lives of street connected children and slum communities in Kolkata, India.

HOPE is more than just an organisation – it is a community of individuals with a passion to make real and sustainable change to some of the world’s poorest and most neglected people. HOPE believes in a holistic approach to education and the all-round health and well-being of the children in our care, and this includes regularly practising yoga in HOPE’s Residential Childcare Centres.

International Yoga Day (IYD) is on 21 June 2023, and is a global day that celebrates the health benefits of practising yoga. This year’s theme is “One World, One Health” and what better way to mark this than to dedicate our practice and teaching to benefitting and improving the lives of the street-connected children in HOPE’s care.
