By the way this is our second charity page so thanks to everyone who contributed to the £1300 on the other page!!!
So we've worked our butt's off and have almost raised a wopping great £1,000 for the lovely Mongolian charity, the Christina Noble Children's Foundation!
However our aim from the start was to raise £1,000 for them, and £1,000 for Everyman, a male cancer charity.
The Everyman Campaign is run by the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), a charity, not for profit. Everyman's mission is to stamp out male cancer. "We can achieve this by making everyone recognise the tell-tale signs, and understand the importance of treating them. By increasing this awareness we also hope to raise money to fund our life-saving research."
The Everyman Campaign focuses specifically on raising awareness of testicular and prostate cancer - 2 of the most common male cancers diagnosed in the UK.For more information about exactly what Everyman do and how your kind donations are spent - be sure to have a look at the Everyman Campaign Website which explains everything you could want to know about the charity. This cause is something that we feel very strongly about. Last year, a good friend of the team was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the age of 22. Thankfully he has gone on to make a full recovery as it was caught relatively early. It was a big shock to us all, and we decided as a team that we wanted to raise awareness about male cancer.If you've only just tuned in, here's why this is all happening;
We are spending our entire summer and our own hard earned money driving ourselves all the way from England to Mongolia, in an ambulance! The purpose of this extravagant journey is to raise money for 2 charities, that's where you come in! We can only do this with your help. We understand in the current financial climate, money may be tight, but any donation no matter how large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will be going towards great causes.
