Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I completed the Aran Sweater on Sunday 26th September. It took seven and half hours of continuous hard rowing, and covered a distance of 24 miles - the first time this route has ever been completed in a currach. It was great fun, but I may well need a bum transplant. I had a wonderful welcome into Roundstone by an lovely crowd on Sunday afternoon, and am now gingerly creaking around boring everyone to death will tales of derring do.
All this effort was to raise money for a Whale and Dolphin rescue pontoon. Due to various fund raising events and lectures given, over €4000 has been raised so far. We are only €700 short of completing the fund raising effort and providing this key piece of equipment to rescue these animals when they strand.
Thanks for your interest, and if you fancy a go at the row the record is there to be broken as I'm never, ever doing it again.

Thanks for your donation - every single penny counts.

Best, Monty
