Like so many our family has been touched by serious illness many times in our lives.  Sometimes those stories have ended happily and sometimes with great sadness.

Our friends Jackie and Mark have decided to do something amazing and proactive in response to their own experiences and tribulations. And this year have inspired us and over 200 others to join them.  Anna will be running for the 2nd time this year and Murdo for the first.

Sue Ryder is a wonderful charity offering nursing care, bereavement support, neurological support and palliative care.  What an inspiring organization to raise a little funding for.

To put the challenge for us in perspective, the average daily high temperature for December in Sharon, Ontario is 0 Celsius.  And when we'll be running in the early mornings and evenings its likely to be well below that.
