Story
Monday 9th August 2010
Three punctures, one accident, two riders down but not out, a 100Km and one great ride! That in a nutshell describes our Sat ride from South Kensington to Brighton. No ride would be complete without a few incidents, a bit of blood and sweat - we achieved all of that. The biggest achievement though is that we all got there in the end. The most important thing though is that with your generosity we have raised much needed funds for a great charity: HOPEHIV. Our thanks to all of you for support both in terms of your donations and good wishes. This page will remain open for the next week or two, for those of you who awaited the actual event to be accomplished before pledging your donation and thank you for your contribution. Many thanks, Jiban, Raj,Ulric & Peter
Pre Ride Posting
Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and to donate.
HopeHIV is a great charity working in sub Saharan Africa bringing hope to children and young people affected by HIV / AIDS. Its 10 years (come Oct) since HopeHIV started and long it may continue to do its good work - to find out more, visit www.hopehiv.org/my101010. For that to happen, it needs support and hence why we are pushing our 40+ year-old legs to cycle all the way from London to Brighton - a mere 50 miles.
We really appreciate you making a donation today. A tenner would be helpful and that would equate to 20 pence per mile but 40 pence or more a mile would be even better!
With your generosity and our sweat, we can help HopeHIV continue to bring hope to children affected by HIV/AIDS.
Thanks for your generosity.
Best
Peter, Raj, Jiban & Ulric
