Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating and supporting local charities with our annual whole school fun run and family picnic. Penns pupils will be completing a fun run around our school grounds and following this, we invite our Penns families to join us for a family picnic. This year, our whole school Charity is 'Glycogen Storage Disease UK' and so we would like to take this opportunity to raise awareness and fundraise for this small charity. You have most likely never heard of this charity, however it is one which is very close to our Penns hearts, as our very own (rather fabulous!) Ms Christie in Year 2 unfortunately suffers with Glycogen Storage Disease. This is a rare disease, affecting just 1 in 25,000 people, this means that it receives little research and support for improving the lives of people with this disease. Glycogen Storage Disease is a genetic disorder which effects the liver. By adulthood, this results in muscle wasting and energy depletion. Please give what little or lot you can, as any amount will be greatly appreciated!
