Story

Many thanks for visiting the NAS IOW branch fundraising page.

On Saturday 24th July from 6pm - 8pm somebody you know will be joining in the sponsored walk taking place at IW Steam Railway in the woodland walk trail at Havenstreet.  All of the children taking part will be rewarded with a certificate and goodies kindly donated by  Thomas & FriendsTM

The branch will also be giving a prize to the family who raises the most money.

Please could you mention who you are sponsoring in the comments box.

For more information about the NAS Train Walk please visit: http://www.trainwalk.org.uk/

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Autistic Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you once again for helping to raise money for the Isle of Wight branch of the National Autistic Society. Your donation has helped the branch to continue its work in supporting families affected by autistic spectrum disorder on the Isle of Wight.

The Isle of Wight Branch of The National Autistic Society (NAS) was launched in June 2008 and is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom are parents of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). Although we are still quite new, we are growing rapidly.

What we offer

We aim to give families support by meeting regularly and by offering seminars and workshops. There is also an online support group for those who are unable to attend a meeting, and for chat and support any time of the day.

As a branch we provide information on autism and on NAS services and work to raise awareness of autism across the Isle of Wight. We seek to co-operate with local statutory and voluntary organisations where appropriate.

The branch currently offers the following:

Cowes ASD support group - please contact Louise Cook on 07909 296716
