Training Weekend - August 2009

On 22nd/23rd August the majority of the team members got together in Snowdonia for the weekend to check their kit, purchase additional equipment for the challenge and for team building. There was also an opportunity to do some hill walking which gave Mike Laing, the team leader, and team members an idea of what to expect on Kilimanjaro. Despite the very wet weather the team had a great time and are very much looking forward to the challenge which is only five weeks away!

Kilimanjaro Challenge - 29th September - 10th October 2009

On 29th September 2009, The New Victoria Medical Foundation (NVMF) Kilimanjaro Challenge 2009 Team will begin an  attempt to reach the summit of Africa's highest peak.

The team, which includes The NVMF's Chief Executive Graham Ball, is aiming to raise over £100,000 so that the foundation can continue to provide medical support to help improve the lives of those in most need. Please sponsor the team and help to improve not only the lives of the current generation, but generations to come.

Donating through JustGiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor the team: The New Victoria Medical Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, JustGiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

We would appreciate any additional support so please pass this on to any contacts you think might help too. Every donation counts and will help to make a positive difference to someone's live.  THANK YOU.
