Story
On the 22nd of March 2014 I will be climbing Yorkshire's 3 highest peaks in under 12 hours to raise monday for SUDEP Action (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy Action) with Leeds RAG in memory of Emily Sumaria. Over the 12 hours I will walk approximately 24 miles and climb over 5,000ft.
The 3 peaks are:
Whernside - 2,415ft
Ingleborough - 2,372ft
Pen-y-ghent - 2,277ft
SUDEP Action are an incredibly helpful and important charity that do many wonderful things. Not many people know, but epilepsy is one of the top ten causes of an early death and at least 3 people pass away every day in the UK from epilepsy related causes. SUDEP Action's aim is to make 'every epilepsy death count' and they not only work to raise awareness and provide information about deaths caused by epilepsy but also help to try and prevent them. Additonally, they provide bereaved families with help, guidance, support and comfort through their times of distress.
