On Sunday 23rd May we will be walking on a treadmill whilst on a ferry from Portsmouth to the Isle Of Wight and back again to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance!

There will also be an on ferry challenge - the team that walks the furthest distance wins!!  so.....the faster we walk the further we go - we are not allowed to run though!

Did you know that:
· The Air Ambulance went into operation in July 2007 and is based at Thruxton Airfield.
· On average it is called out 3-5 times a day.
· A minimum of £92,000 per month is required to keep it airborne.
· It is funded solely by voluntary donations and does not receive any Government or Lottery funding.
· The Air Ambulance can reach most of its designated area within 15 minutes.
· It can land in an area half the size of a tennis court.
· It can be airborne within 3 minutes of a 999 call.

Last year Natalie and her friend Jo Watts  organised a Fashion Show to raise money and awareness for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.  We are more than keen to continue fundraising for this charity.

We never know when we might need the Air Ambulance - but it is good to know that it is there!
