Story
It was around 2007 when working for BBC World that myself and a few girls decided to give running a go. So twice a week we encouraged each other to run. The motivation and great feeling of achievement after completing each 5km run was enough to give me the drive and enthusiasm to keep running, and have since run a few organized 5kms, 10kms runs, and a half marathon to boot, something I thought would never be possible! In the days when we were struggling to get around the 5km route I never thought it would be possible to one day be running a marathon! But here I am signed up and running for Children in Need!
Thanks for donating! If you want to see where your money is going please follow the link! The current video is about one of the projects that CiN help to support, The Corner House Youth project. Coming from once apartheid South Africa I've myself experienced racism in this country. The project that CiN helps to fund gives a safe place for the children of NE Cumbria to go to, to get off the streets, and be in an encouraging and motivating environment so that they can hopefully reach their full potential. This is just one of the many projects that CiN helps to fund and it made me feel really proud to be helping to raise money for the kind of support that CiN offer to children in the UK, hopefully with your kind charity you will feel that same sense of pride and know that your money is going towards something great!
