Story
A colleague has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer and given as little as two years to live. I am delighted to say that he has to date defied his earliest prognosis and is still running ultra marathons, inspiring others to enjoy life to the full whilst raising funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
Having raised £22,000 for Prostate Cancer UK already, this year Kevin is running 1,000 miles in the hope to raise yet more. So far he has completed a 50k race in Kent , Country to Capital 72k Race , Pilgrims Challenge 106k Race. As we type he is setting off to complete Marathon Des Sables a 257k self supported race in the Sahara with the following yet to come; 15 marathons in 15 Days from Exeter to Newcastle, Al Andalus, 230k over 5 days in Southern Spain and Fire & Ice, 250k self supported race across the volcanic ash deserts of Northern Iceland. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Kevin-Webber5
Liz and I are joining Kevin on one of less ambitious jaunts from Stratford to Richmond along with 60 other colleagues on the 19th May. As a group we are hoping to raise £10,000 for Prostate Cancer UK so anything you can give would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks in advance for your very kind donation :-)
