Story
I’ve volunteered for an amazing challenge in October! I’ve been accepted to take part in the The New Ways Tour de Normandy Cycle Challenge 2010. New Ways, a UK registered charity that is run by unpaid volunteers – in this way the charity keeps administration costs to the absolute minimum, so that as much as is possible of the money raised goes to those in need.
New Ways supports a range of health and development projects, mainly in , that I believe will ultimately enable the people we help to take responsibility for their own lives. To do this, they need access to water, health facilities and education, as well as the tools to grow food for themselves and their livestock – in this way they are empowered.
Another part of the challenge – apart from the lengthy training! – begins long before I leave for Normandy in October. By taking part in the challenge, I have committed myself to raising at least £2,500 in sponsorship (having paid all my own costs) I need your help to achieve this.
I won’t be cycling on my own – we will be 16 in total. Together we aim to raise a substantial for .
On the sheet attached to this web page, there is more information about the and the Cycle Challenge – I hope you will want to read this to find out more about why I am asking for your help to meet the target I have set myself.I promise you the thanks of all at and the poor and needy whom you will be helping. This will really make a difference.
With best wishes.
Neil
