Story

Nicola:

I love the city, but sat in front of a PC for the majority of the day in a windowless office (windows onto a corridor don't count do they?) you get to thinking about the open countryside and long winding walks you could be on..... Ok, I don't - I'm probably thinking about the next restaurant I should try out but I do love a challenge and attempting to walk up the 3 main peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours is certainly that. When I hit that wall in the early hours of the morning with the summit of Scarfell still 3 hours away, it will be in the knowledge that we are raising money for those that struggle with the things I take for granted - please help us raise as much cash as possible for the great work they are doing at Sense.

Louise:

I accepted the chance to do this challenge on the basis that I quite wanted to see all 3 peaks and this would be a nice way of bundling them all into one weekend. Yep, you can tell I don't get outside of zone 6 much. So I'll need to raise my game if I'm to complete them all in 24 hours and still be in one piece at the end of it. We're doing this to raise lots of money for Sense who do a great job in supporting deafblind adults & children, and raising awareness of the challenges they face everyday.

Sarah:

I always like a challenge and the three peaks will certainly provide that! I am not sure quite what possessed me to agree to tackle the largest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours, but it was probably something to do with the fantastic work that Sense carry out across the country. Compared to the challenges faced every day by the people helped by Sense a spot of hill walking should be a doddle... although if you ask me on the 19th September I think I may regret saying that!!

Jenny:

Not sure why I signed up to climb the three largest peaks in Britain, equating to 22 miles, on little or no sleep over 24 hours esp. when I am well known for lacking any kind of personality when tired. I must have momentarily lost my mind. A challenge it will certainly be and one I plan to embrace. My hope is that by taking on this challenge, it will mean a few less challenges for people that Sense support – people that are not able to see or hear and face bigger challenges in everyday life than we could ever imagine.

Bring on the blisters, exhaustion, sore legs, blurry eyes, dark circles - I am ready for you all! (my delusional side talking)

Please help me support the people that need it most; knowing I have your backing will give me the extra push when I need it most… and maybe just maybe a little bit of a personality when I am at my most tired
