This year I have challenged myself to compete in The London Triathlon in aid of the charity "Small Steps".  The initial goal is to finish the course, but posting a respectable time is always a welcome bonus!

Small Steps, School for Parents helps children with special needs, aged from birth to 4 years, work on all areas of their development, using the principles of conductive education.  These children have cerebral palsy, other forms of motor impairment, syndromes or sensory impairment.  They need a great deal of extra stimulation and assistance to help them reach even the most basic milestones.

At Small Steps, a teacher, conductor and physiotherapist lead a parent and child team through a structured programme designed to help each child achieve individualised developmental steps. 

Small Steps, School for Parents works towards two goals: to help the child progress in his or her development and to help the parents help the child.
