Story
Hello dear friends and thank you for visiting.
Somehow I heard the words "OK then", escape from my mouth. It was in response to "How about joining us Nicky for the run on September 5th". This was from the staff at Street Child Africa which (as many of you will know) is the main UK charity devoted to helping children on the streets of Africa. Some of you may also know that I have been working with the charity since it began in 1998 and I've seen first hand the work of our fabulous partner agencies. What gets me is their dedication to the work quite often against all the odds. One worker in Ghana said to me in the dead of night as we were walking through Accra's shanty "This is a terrific country, one day I would like to see a Ghanaian leader emerge from the kids on the streets".
I know there's a recession on (being self employed, believe me I know) and that times are tough. Yet for the children on the streets of Africa there is no recession. It's tough every day. So even a few pounds will make a big difference in Africa.
Oh, I seem to remember there was a little video about there work which passed through this office once. Do have a quick look.

Thank you for reading this far. Enjoy your Sunday morning on 5th September. It would be great to know that as you are enjoying your lie in you are supporting and all the others from Street Child Africa!
Cheers,
Nickyx
