Story
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!!
Many of you who know me and my family know that, despite his short but brave fight, my dad lost his battle to small cell lung cancer. Like many charities, Kirkwood Hospice which cared for my dad in his final days, relies mainly on donations. Surprisingly, or not, the cost of running Kirkwood is currently in excess of £14,000 a day in order to provide all the valuable services it currently offers, be it someone to talk to, looking after those in their hour of need, or supporting family / friends even after a loved one has passed, and over 82% of this amount comes from the generous supporters of Kirkwood Hospice.
On behalf of our family I have decided to do my bit to show our appreciation and thanks for everything they have done for us both during and after the course of my dad's illness and have been lucky enough to secure my place on the team for the Kirkwood Hospice Tandem Skydive which will take place on Sunday 21 September 2014 at Brigg Airfield, North Lincolnshire!!! I truly cannot wait!!!
If you can sponsor me in my moment of madness, then it would be hugely and greatly appreciated! No matter how much you are able to donate, please remember that every penny raised truly does help. In order to benefit Kirkwood even further, if you are a tax payer then don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box which will enable them to receive an additional 25p per £1 you donate. This will help them to continue with the great work they already do.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, and a HUGE thank you to everyone in advance for their support and generosity.
