I DID IT!!!!       What an amazing day and experience, one I will never, ever forget.  My time was 3hrs 50mins (and 8 seconds - knew I shouldn't have hugged the kids on the way round!!), so am feeling very proud.  Thanks soooooo much to everyone who sponsored and supported me - I seriously couldn't have done it without you!!!!  Am now relaxing with a glass (or two) of wine but will send more details very soon. xxxxxx

Thanks to the help of a great friend I have managed to secure a place in this years London Marathon on April 25th.  I wanted to run for a cancer charity, as cancer touches so many of our lives.  I have therefore decided to run for the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital.  The Marsden is Europes largest cancer centre, helping 40,000 patients at its hospitals in Chelsea and Sutton every year.  It has been made even more special to my family and I as some very close friends are currently undergoing treatment there.  All the money that I raise will go towards essential equipment and pioneering research at the Marsden.

Training for the most part has now been completed.  I have clocked up my longest run (21 miles) and have now started to shorten my runs as I wait for the 25th of April to arrive!  I am nervously looking forward to the day as it feels as if all my energy and thoughts have been focused on this one thing for months now so I am keen to get the run underway!  

I have been completely overwelmed at the support I have received from everyone, not only in the amount of money that has been donated to this fantastic and important cause, but also in the faith everyone seems to have in me.  I will do my best to make you all proud.
