We are taking part in the TransAlp mountain bike challenge, as the official Nissan Sports Adventure team. The event, which is sponsored by Nissan, starts in Germany, crosses Austria, into Switzerland, and finishes at Lake Garda in Italy. There are 500 teams of 2 people competing from 18 to 25 July 2009.

The event covers more than 400miles, almost all off road, over 8 days with 65000ft of hill climbing in total.   We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation. Heart disease, by itself, is the UK’s biggest killer and the most common cause of premature death in the UK. One in five men and one in seven women die from heart disease that’s around 94,000 deaths in the UK each year; over 250 every day. Around 2.5 million people are living with heart disease in the UK. We would really appreciate you supporting us and hope that our hearts, and the rest of us, can make it to the end of the race....   Alan and Charles
