Fundraising for Held In Our Hearts
Story
Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my page. I appreciate there are lots of wonderful charities, however, Held in Our Hearts have provided me with personal support through the loss of my babies and during the very anxious and stressful pregnancy with our miracle baby Matthew.
It all started when I decided to do my first 10K EMF in 2016 as a challenge before I turned 40. I had suffered 3 miscarriage, so it only seemed fitting that I chose a baby loss charity to fundraise for. This is my first proper EMF race in 5 years!
Sadly, I went on to have a further 4 miscarriages and I received amazing support though HIOH befriending, support groups and counselling over the years in which I can’t thank them enough. They really saved me.
Following my first EMF in 2016, I went on to do the 10K and half marathon in 2018 (when I was at my fittest). Our eldest son Joseph took also part in the EMF 1K run that year with his daddy. The latter EMF runs have been the virtual EMF 10K with the lovely Tracy Watt in 2020 and the virtual EMF 5K with our miracle baby Matthew who was only 3 months old at the time.
The EMF is a fantastic race to take part in, no matter the distance. It has a very special place in my heart. It was my first proper race and it’s in one of the best cities! #tracymademedoit
