301 MILES, 20 HOURS IN THE SADDLE AND 3 DAYS LATER... we successfully reached the Eiffel Tower after overcoming hills from hell, scorching heat, some interesting navigation around the French countryside and a hair-raising ride around the Arc de Triomph (know the roundabout? - try it on a bike!).
