As some may know, a group of us gather each year for a mamilian tour of somewhere hilly and usually rainy, generally under the guidance and enthusiasm of Piers Dibben (my brother in law). We are nominally known as the GRRs or Grittleton Road Racers.

This year Piers has excelled himself in sillyness and suggested a 'LEJOG' - Land end to John o'groats. 

We are taking a somewhat unusual route which includes Ireland and the West Coast of Scotland. While wild and long it does seem to avoid most main roads and looks beautiful.

Numbers swell and ebb on tour, some are doing all 11 days of 100 miles a day, others most (i.e. me... 9 days) and some are just making an appearance. 

While I am aware that I have asked many of you for sponsorship before - we would like to do something useful on this trip and as such should anyone be willing or able to sponsor us, we have all agreed to raise money for Youth Action Wiltshire. Please see the link. A very good cause.
