Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Olivia's JustGiving page in aid of The Jennifer Trust.

Our latest fundraising event is the London 10k race on Sunday 11th July 2010.

Olivia was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). This disease only affects 1 in 6,500 babies in the UK and there are only about 100 cases each year. Babies and children diagnosed with SMA are unable to sit or walk unaided, have respiratory problems and need lots of specialist care and attention.

As there is little known about this devastating disease we are looking to raise awareness and money for the SMA charity - 'The Jennifer Trust' based in Stratford Upon Avon.

The Jennifer Trust is dedicated both to supporting people affected by SMA, and investing in essential research into causes, treatments and eventually a cure for the condition.

Everything that you donate in memory of Olivia means a great deal to us, as we continue to raise money to help all those who are suffering with this devastating condition.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

Help for today, hope for tomorrow...
