Hello Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you are not aware I am running the 2009 New York Marathon on the 1st of November.

The reason I'm raising the money for this charity is due to good friends of mine Terry and Hayley's little boy Riley.

Riley passed away on 17th May 2007, Riley who was born with severe disabilities was an inspiration to us all and running the New York Marathon is a way of celebrating his life.

The Marathon itself is 26 miles, it is going to be the first one i've run, although I served in the Army for 9 years, I have never run a full marathon and think it is going to be a challenge...

I have set myself a goal of completing the marathon in under 4 hours!

In order to participate in the Marathon I have to reach a minimum of £1,500 in donations, so obviously any money you can donate I will be extremely grateful..

It would be much appreciated if you could let friends and family members know of what I am trying to achieve and my reasons why, to get as many people as possible involved. If they go onto the just giving website and type in my name (Ozgur Hulus).. as every penny counts!

Most of you won't know as of yet my my Nan passed away on the 28/08/09 and I have decided that this marathon will be a dual memorial for both my Nan and little Riley, I will run my socks off in there memories. R.I.P. together you brightened up the lives of all that knew you, and I thank you both from the bottom of my heart. xx
