May we take the opportunity to thank everybody that helped us or generously donated to help us surpass our target we are flabbergasted and very grateful

Hi, We are the friends and colleagues of Paula Blakemore who tragically died in a freak diving accident in Dorothea Quarry in North Wales on 11 March 2007, whilst practising for a sponsored dive to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Paula was a highly qualified diving instructor and a keen cyclist who lived life to the full and always delivered on her promises. Paula leaves behind her beloved husband Mike and three daughters, to whom she was devoted. We are not cyclists and only one of us is a diver, but we would like to remember Paula and help her fulfil her promise to Guide Dogs for the Blind. We have chosen a symbolic journey, cycling from Dorothea Quarry to Alderley Edge near Macclesfield (where Paula worked) via her home in Congleton. The journey is 125 miles (200 Kilometres) long and starts in the hills of Snowdonia from the point of Paula's final dive, through the mountains of north Wales, into England, over to her home at Congleton in Cheshire and then on to Alderley Edge where Paula worked for many years. The sponsored bike ride will take place starting Saturday 15 September 2007. We ask that you donate to Guide Dogs for the Blind. Once someone has lost their sight, a guide dog can give back a degree of freedom that often feels little short of miraculous. Most guide dog owners will tell you that when it comes to mobility aids, these highly-trained and sensitive animals are second to none. Please give generously and if you see us en route, don’t just hoot - donate loot! Paul Devonport Remember
and welcome to our fundraising page.
