Story

Paul's family and friends are hoping to organise a series of fundraising events in memory of their incredible dad/husband/brother/best friend Paul Wilson (Wil), who sadly passed away suddenly at the young age of 57 on the 26th October 2021. The loss of this truly special man has left an irreplaceable hole in our lives. We hope that these fundraising events will encourage everyone to be their best selves, just like we were when we were around Paul. Our first event is a Charity Golf Tournament called 'The Paul Wilson - Best Round Ever' Tournament on Thursday 1st September 2022.

Sadly, no one is exempt from experiencing loss and grief. Grief is universal and multifaceted. It is isolating, painful and exhausting, but above all, it is individual, and there is no 'normal'. As a consequence, it is important to be aware of how to find ways to support people in their grief. There are many resources that exist to help people learn to live with the reality of a new life following loss. Our chosen charity is the Good Grief Trust which brings all bereavement services together under one umbrella with the aim 'to provide help and hope in one place'.

The Good Grief Trust aims to raise awareness of issues around bereavement and try to change the way we deal with this taboo subject in the UK, ensure acknowledgement of the potentially severe effects of grief and encourage us all to talk about it more openly.
