Story
Wow, we have dominated the Thames! It was seriously hard work but definitely worth it. Any more sponership is obviously welcome so please dig deep and wack those pounds in!
As people have already sponsored us loads we have had to push up our target again!! Fingers crossed we hit this as well
We keep on hitting the target so we have popped it up again! Thanks to everyone for being so generous
Thank you so much for all your sponsorship so far! Seeing as we are nearly on target we’re going to reach for the stars as S Club would say and add an extra tonne on! Please dig deep!
This is a bit of a crazy idea to raise money for the charity 'Operation Smile.' Two friends that will attempt to kayak the length of the Thames (185 miles) in 3 days. Yes in 3 days!!! To add to the challenge neither of us have any real kayaking experience, which makes this even more of a barmy idea. Hopefully by the time we reach Westminster Bridge we will have got to the grips with the paddle if we haven't lost it along the way.
We will be in a tandem kayak and will complete the full 185 miles. We are launching our kayak at Cricklade, as close to the source of the Thames as possible, on the Thursday 21st of October. Fingers crossed for an Indian summer.
We have e-mailed the Guinness Book of World Records to find out if this will be a world record, so watch this space!
The target is to raise £3,500, which will pay for just over 23 children’s operations. If you would like to found out more please watch this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gkv4f9ryks). So we ask you to donate as much as you can. If we hit the target this will put the smile back on the faces of 23 children which would be a fantastic result and achievement.
We will update this page regularly on our progress towards the big day.
So please please dig deep and we won't disappoint.
