Story

Tong-Len is an organization that helps under-priviledged children in a small village of Kangra Valley in the Lower Himalayas. I am going to work for Tong-Len for a month in 'Charan Khad' (in McLeodganj, India), where I'll be teaching english/ hindi and basic maths to a group of those children who cannot afford to go to a state school. I'll also be running basic computer classes in McLeodganj, a place for Tibetan Refugees and home of Dalai Lama to help train the monks and tibetan refugees learn basic computing skills.

I'll be making this visit from 21st June to 24th July and will bear all my expenses on my own but in order to make this visit more successful, I'll be raising money for Tong-Len which is a small UK registered charity with no paid western staff, so every penny contributed will directly go in providing better facilities to the children of 'Charan Khad'.

For more information about the work Tong-Len are doing, please visit www.tong-len.org or ask me. Please donate generously and make my efforts visibly successful.
