Hi All, I decided to do this challenge (a 5km run on every day in December, including Christmas day), to raise money the Sue Ryder charity as they do so much for people and their families who are going through very difficult times due to poor health and bereavement.

My wife Jo did The Dash last year in honour of her dearly departed dad, so I wanted to continue her efforts in his memory this year too.

On a personal level I wanted to give myself a tough physical challenge and do something worthwhile at a time when I'd rather be warm inside with a nice glass of beer.
