Story

I am running the Greensand Marathon on 17 October 2010 in aid of a small deserving charity called Clear Vision.  This is a tough race and it includes hills which add up to over 5,200 feet of vertical climb. Anyone who wants to come with me is most welcome.Alternatively you could sponsor me !

ClearVision is a small charity for visually-impaired children that lends books by post to nearly a thousand families, schools and libraries all over the .They have been working tirelessly since the mid-1980 to expand and develop the number and range of books available. I have examples if you would like to see the books in action.

The books are designed for sharing; the braille text is added to ordinary children’s picture books on clear plastic sheets so that each book can be read and enjoyed by print and by braille readers.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. ClearVision children's braille library lends books by post to hundreds of young visually-impaired children in the UK. These books - from Thomas the Tank Engine to Jacqueline Wilson - have the text in print and braille so that everyone can share them. £15 pays for a new book for the ClearVision library!
