Story

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year and in an effort to support those in a much worse condition than me I ran a half marathon, raising a substantial amount of money in the process for the Multiple Sclerosis Research Centre (MSRC).

The overwhelming response I got last year has inspired me to go one better and through the MSRC I have secured a place at next year’s London Marathon where I will be doing my best to not only finish the course, but to raise money for this great charity.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, disabling neuro degenerative disease with no known cure. It attacks the central nervous system, has different levels of severity and manifests itself in many different ways. My own condition is manageable (albeit I have to self inject disease modifying drugs) and fingers crossed it will stay that way. Unfortunately that’s not the case for many sufferers who need all the help and support they can get.

The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MSRC) is a proactive and innovative charity, passionately committed to supporting anyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis through access to unbiased information and advice.
