Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm Going Again!

Well as many of you you know I did the London Marathon in 2015 and Again in 2017 and I chose to raise money for Cancer Research UK due to my Partner Judith's history with Breast Cancer in 1992 and felt I wanted to help give a little help back to them.

I signed up for them in November 2014 with no knowledge of what was about to come.

In early 2015 Judith was again diagnosed with Breast Cancer over 22 years since her first time, we were utterly devastated as you can imagine  :(

After 2 successful operations in February of that year Judith continued to train hard for London too as she had gained a good for age place the year before, she finished in a very respectable time of 4 Hrs 10 Mins. Soon after the Marathon Judith's treatment continued with Radiotherapy sessions and numerous tablets and other drugs with some pretty strong side effects.

Such was the occasion that we were both doing the Marathon in 2015 and the situation with Judith's Cancer it felt only right that I proposed on the finish line.

It just felt right to do so having been together 10 years or as many said, About Bloody Time lol! Luckily she said yes and we got Married in September 2016 which was a day we will cherish for many years.

Jude continues to do very well under the circumstances and achieved yet another Good For Age place in Manchester Early 2016, which meant she was also able to Run London again with me in 2017.

She went on to achieve her Fastest of all Her 3 London's. with  a time of 4, Hrs 8, Mins 33, Secs What an Amazing Lady she is xx

Living with someone that has gone through such a terrible life changing experience is sometimes difficult as although she's very fit and well the thought of what has happened never ever goes away, Jude is testament to how things have improved over the last 20 or so years with the help from Cancer Research UK, things were very different this time around than they were back in 1992 and I for one am eternally grateful for that.

In the 2017 Race I Ran a Beautiful personal best of over 12 Mins to finish with 3Hrs 30,Mins 47,Secs and pushing my total raised for Cancer Research UK to almost £7'000 with your help we can do more and who knows maybe even hit that magic £10'000 Target (No Pressure lol!)

Please then help me raise as much as possible for a Charity we owe so much to for so many reasons.

You can even follow my Twitter Training Page at, @KippyRunsLondon for regular training updates and Photo's :)

Thank You & See you on the road!

Be Awsome!  And Together We Will Beat Cancer Sooner.
