Story

I've done this ride a few times now but couldn't resist the lure of the Tour de France Stage 2 in Yorkshire added on to it!  I've supported a few different charities over the years, all with personal connections in one way or another and this year is no different.

Updated to add that I've now completed this and it was an amazing challenge in the relentless hills but feel great other than a pulled leg muscle that I got during training!  Can't imagine what it must be like to actually race it?

Aberdovey Bike Ride started in 1993 and has grown each year from an initial 30 riders to now over 500 riders... now increased to 600 riders.

We have raised in excess of £250,000 in that time and now average around £60,000 per year.

2014 adds a special 3 day ride to our already popular 1 day ride.

50 Riders will cycle over 300 miles from York-Sheffield and then onto Wolverhampton where they will meet up with nearly 550 other riders to complete the final days ride to Aberdovey.

You can offer your support by donating to one of our riders below as we promise 100% of money raised goes straight to the charities.
