Story
Ben Vickers was a total petrol head, like myself. He and his Dad Andy used to come to watch me Kart racing and then Caterham racing as I moved into bigger toys. Ben loved his cars, and the racing, but it was shortly after he passed his driving test and got a car of his own that he lost a two year battle with cancer. On the 20th September I will be running the 13.1 miles in Ben's memory, and also to raise funds for the tremendous charity that supported Ben and his family through some unimaginable times.
The Caterham Graduates Club have supported the TCT through many activities over the years, for which I am personally very grateful, and each year we award the Ben Vickers Memorial Trophy to the driver exhibiting the best race driving standards, helping to keep Bens spirit alive, and upholding the courage and high standards that Ben exhibited throughout his short life.
Thanks for your support, it is hugely appreciated by me and the TCT.
