Story
Thank you for visiting Pavan's fundraising page.
Pavanjit Lall passed away on August 11th 2007 from a condition called an aneurysm (the swelling of a blood vessel that ruptures). She had suffered from this before 16 years ago and managed to pull through as surgeons were able to clip the blood vessel. The aneurysm formed again on Monday August 6th as she was rushed into Derbyshire Royal Infirmary Hospital by her brave work mates and after scans were carried out later that day she was taken to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. Pavan battled for 5 days as surgeons were amazed how she pulled through on the Monday. Sadly, day by day she slowly deteriorated which eventually caused her brain to stop functioning. Her death was confirmed on the August 11th at 2:24PM. Pavan will never be forgotten as a Wife, Mother, Daughter and a Great Friend to all. She will be deeply missed.
"Energetic, Vibrant, full of life are the words I would use to describe my mother; someone who always had a smile on her face regardless whether she was having a good day or bad. Her drive and ambition were extraordinary, always planning and organising whether she was at work or at home however, her motivation in life is what inspires me today."
(Lakhbir Singh Lall, at Pavanjit Lall's funeral - 23rd August 2007)
We are donating to the Brain & Spine Foundation because my mother had a brain condition which took her life. One of the reasons why they couldn't treat her condition was because surgeons just don't know much about the brain because it is so complex. This charity focuses on the research, education and information of the brain and spine.
Please donate generously.
Many thanks for your support.
