The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Two wheels. One Saddle. 6 days. 486km. One year of independence.

After I returned from working at the paralympics, I was getting a ticket for the tube  when a blind man make his way into the station. He got stuck in a corner and was having trouble navigating himself out. Not a single person stopped to assist him, instead they show their impatience as they barged past, some of them knocking into him. Once my ticket was issued I went over to assist him.

It costs £3,650 to support a working guide dog partnership for one year, priceless for the independence it gives. My hope is to give a year's freedom to a blind person by tackling some of the Giants of the Pyrenees on a bike.

Gift aid can add a few more weeks independence, if you pay tax please tick the box.
