I'm doing the Royal Parks Half Marathon this year (October 10th), looking to raise £500 for a charity called HomeStart.

HomeStart is a nationwide charity helping young families across the UK, supporting thousands of people who need help with a range of issues that come hand-in-hand with becoming a parent.

My mum, Sandra Alexander / Sarnj, who I'm sure most of you know, is also Regional Consultant for the South East of England for HomeStart and has done her fair share of running for the charity so hopefully we can continue to make a big difference going forward.

Your donation will be invaluable in HomeStart's continued work across the country, and I'd like to say a big thank you in advance for your support - I am most appreciative.

On the flip side, of course, you'll have also (hopefully) made a stellar contribution to my efforts to shift the excess pounds that have gradually accumulated over the past few years, so I am eternally grateful on that front too - ta.
