STOP PRESS.... YES, I'VE DONE IT!  Thank you to all my sponsors that have helped me reach my target, I managed to complete 122 lengths in the allotted time, so I'm pleased to be able to say I've done my bit for Julia's House!! 

Yes, you've guessed it !  I'm doing a One Man Nonstop Swimathon at The Hotel Royale on the 1st of November and I'm after your money !!  My aim is simply to swim as far as I can in one hour, without stopping.  Although some of you may think this is relatively easy, I have been training for this event for over a year now.  I began by managing 50 lengths and have gradually built this up to 100 and I am hoping to complete 120.  Before you get carried away or anyone reaches for their calculators, it is not a normal sized pool, but it should mean that I swim somewhere around 2 kilometres. 

Anyway, this is my way of doing my bit for Julia's House, a local children's charity that I have been proud to support for over 5 years now and one that I am particularly keen on as I have 3, thankfully minor, but like the conditions that the children at Julia's House suffer, currently incurable ailments.  So now you know why I'm nuts about Julia's House, it's over to you !
