All children need to play, but for disabled children it is essential to help them reach their full potential. Challengers provides numerous play schemes for disabled children from across the South East. However, there are hundreds of children missing out every day and your gift can help them play.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Hi!

I'm doing the 3-Peaks challenge from the 1st-3rd October (which is less than a month away!!) - this involves climbing the highest mountains in England (Scaffell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon) in 24(!) hours! I'm not just doing this for the fun of it, though, I'm raising money for Disability Challengers.

This charity have been utterly fabulous beyond words with my severely autistic cousin, Andrew. They run playschemes and groups for autistic people from the age of 4-25, and they fully rely on voluntary donations. They really are a fantastic, and personal, cause. If you want to know more, just go to http://www.disability-challengers.org.

£900 in a month does seem a little daunting. So does getting into the right physical shape (especailly when I'm in Italy for two weeks of September - going to have to lay off the Gelato and go running up the seven hills of Rome!). But I'm sure it'll be worth it!

So please donate what you can!

Peter
