Story

Thanks for taking the time to look at this page (and hopefully donate some of your hard earned cash to a very worthwhile cause). It really did seem like a good idea at the time, but I have foolishly agreed to take part in a trek along Hadrian’s Wall to try and raise funds for ’s ambitious 10th Anniversary project to raise £200,000 to provide new, specialised outdoor play equipment.

is the only primary school in for children who experience severe and profound learning difficulties and associated physical and medical conditions. The planned new outdoor play equipment is to replace the existing facilities which at present provide no shelter, lack excitement and stimulation and are not disability friendly in terms of access, equipment and resources.

The new facilities will provide all year round access to outdoor play. We want to turn the play areas into safe, stimulating, exciting, challenging and inclusive learning environments that will increase the range of challenging opportunities available to all our children.

To that end, 25 teachers, parents,  friends and supporters of intend to walk the Walk – all 84 miles from Bowness on Solway to Segedunum (or Wallsend to those of us with no Latin). The walk will take place between 30th April to 5th May 2010.

Thanks for your generosity.
