I am taking part in a 100 Mile Cycle Callenge and boy will this be a challenge !!!
The Century Cycle Challenge is now in its 11th year and attracts over 650 cyclists, predominantly from Devon, but also from other parts of the UK and overseas. The event follows the local training route ridden by Marc Millon and Nello Ghezzo in preparation for their epic ride from Topsham to Venice in 1997. Nello tragically died of cancer in 1999 and this cycle ride, at the end of June, has become an annual tribute to Nello. The FORCE Century Cycle Challenge has raised approximately £235,000 to date.
The classic hundred mile peddle from Topsham over the roof of Exmoor and back is one of the highlights of the annual cycling calendar.
The event now raises in excess of £40,000 for FORCE Cancer Charity. The ride is an absolute classic, not just because the route is at once beautiful and challenging, but also because of quality and quantity of delicious food encountered all along the way. No other ride in England can match ours for the sheer generosity - of spirit as well as food - that you will find along the way.
