When my eldest son Daniel was first born he was very ill, and spent 5 days in the intensive care unit at Homerton Hospital in East London. They cared for him brilliantly and he is fine, but I wanted to raise some money for the hospital to say thank you.
So my brother-in-law Simon and I are cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats between 23 July and - oooh, somewhere around 4-6 August. We will be covering around 1000 miles, 80-100 miles a day: 6-7 hours in the saddle every day. We will be climbing over 10 vertical kilometers over the distance, and doing so unsupported, ie carrying all our luggage with us.
You can donate on this page, or to donate by mobile and barely feel the pain at all, simply text 70070 with the code PHIL74 £[amount] - for example text 70070 with PHIL 74 £10 to donate 10 Big Ones to the cause.
Simon is raising money for Eden Valley Hospice - anything you can contribute to either of these very worthy causes would be really appreciated.
Phil
