Story
On this Sunday (17th), I'll be abseiling down the big red tangle of metal at the Olympic park, because I saw a flyer at my hospital appointment yesterday (Wednesday) and I'm prone to bursts of spontaneity. And also because the Moorfields Eye Charity does vital work to support the discovery of life-changing new treatments for debilitating eye diseases.
As some of you know, I've had years of uveitis, iritis, glaucoma, cataracts, and any other -itis of the eyes you care to think of. Without the help I've had from Moorfields Eye Hospital in getting the treatment I need, I'd probably be blind. Of course, I'm just one of many.
I have just three days to find at least £250 of sponsorship (all of which goes to charity - I'm paying for the abseil!). My hope is to raise twice that. Anything you can offer will make a real difference.
